August 29,2020 Study Session
What is a Specific Voluntary Inspection…?
It is an inspection that must be conducted regularly on certain machinery (such as construction machinery and cargo handling equipment).
For specific types of machinery, it must be performed once a year (or once every two years for off-road carriers) by an inspector with a specific qualification.
Specific Voluntary Inspection – KENKIKYO (Construction Equipment Safety Association): Have you ever seen a sticker like this on machinery at construction sites?
Currently, Daijin Motors has three qualified inspectors on staff.
During this study session, we learned about the following topics:
1. Validity Period of Ken-san (Inspector’s Qualification)…
・It is mandated by the national Industrial Safety and Health Act. Businesses should be careful, as violations like not conducting inspections or allowing qualifications to expire can result in penalties (fines).
2. Target Machinery for Inspection…

Etc.
3. Inspection Entry Guidelines…
・We confirmed them by referring to logbooks and other records.
Other staff members also reviewed them together for future reference.
