It’s now mid-June, and while we haven’t seen any truly clear skies, it seems we’ve had less rain this year.
We’d like to introduce the erosion control project carried out in the Nakao area of Nishisato, Oguni Town. Because there was a lot of snow this year, we couldn’t proceed with the work as planned. Nevertheless, the project reached its deadline and was successfully completed.

This dam, like the project we introduced previously, uses a timber ‘remaining formwork’ design. I had the chance to visit the construction site, which is located a little way into a forest from the village, a place where nature is preserved, almost like something out of a Ghibli film.
It made me feel that we must continue to cherish and protect such natural forms, ensuring they are not disturbed or destroyed.
