Just when we thought warm days would continue, here comes this cold snap… It’s tough on a body that’s no longer young.
At this time of year, the end of the fiscal year, many sites were reaching their completion deadlines, leading to days filled with continuous inspections. I feel that the hustle and bustle has somewhat subsided, so I will report on the site progress.
First, for the first project. This is Forestry Road/Erosion Control Project No. 32, which is being constructed in Ubuyama Village, Aso. The erosion control work within Aso-Kuju National Park is said to be a dam built using “remaining formwork” with timber, taking into consideration the landscape and environment.

It’s a construction method where the timber formwork, assembled for pouring concrete, is not dismantled but left in place on the surface.

It also looks beautiful, blending in naturally with its surroundings.

Since this photo is from early March, I believe the work has progressed even further. Our representative is advancing the project with incredibly meticulous planning and always prioritizing safety.
Stay safe, everyone.
