At the end of last year, we received a document from the Road Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism titled “Regarding the Implementation of the ‘Reiwa 1st Year Emergency Measures’ for Preventing Wheel Detachment Accidents in Large Vehicles.”
This time, we held a study session based on that document.

Given the severe situation of wheel detachment accidents in large vehicles increasing nationwide for three consecutive years, we collectively shared and understood four additional items that have been added to the existing emergency measures. By grasping these, we learned how to prevent accidents before they occur.
The 4 additional items:
・Ensuring secure tightening of wheel nuts to the specified torque.
・Retightening tires after 50-100km of driving post-replacement.
・Confirmation during daily (pre-operation) inspections.
・Use bolts and nuts that fit the holes correctly.
